Qbrex is the brand name for lubricants marketed by the Asian Lubricating Oil Co. (ALOC) which is a member of the Taher Group of Companies. The Taher Group of Companies, based in Jeddah, is a major private sector Group, and is listed among the top 100 Companies in the Kingdom. Led by an international management team it has diversified nationally since its establishment in 1975. It has also expanded internationally to become a diverse, multi-national group of considerable stature. The founder of the Group, Dr. Abdul Hadi Taher, was a governor of Petromin and also a Cabinet Minister. His son Tarek is the President of the Group. ALOC was launched in 1995 to market a range of automotive and industrial lubricants in the domestic and export markets. With a combination of strong professional management, innovative marketing, leading-edge technology and a thorough knowledge of its target markets, the Qbrex brand has become a house-hold name in the Kingdom, and, is relatively well known in neighboring Middle East countries and beyond. Our Joint Venture partner Lubrizol who have helped design our portfolio of products. These are clearly focused on local needs & conditions. ALOC's sales infrastructure is strong and comprehensive. We distribute bulk & packaged products throughout the Kingdom via our own strategically placed warehouse (depots). Regional Sales Teams within each of the three Regions (Western, Southern Central & Eastern), reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, provide complete and comprehensive territorial coverage throughout with the major focus on the distributor and commercial/industrial & Retail sectors. Full technical support is provided together with independent laboratory facilities for chemical analyses and trouble-shooting. With an effective management information system and prudent financial control under the guidance of an expatriate Finance Manager, the Company has the capability and flexibility to respond to market demands. ALOC possess the resources & infrastructure for future growth in the domestic market & the capacity to increase its international exposure. Currently ALOC sells over 9,000 Tons/annum of finished product and we plan to significantly increase this within the next 18 months to two years by selective business acquisition.
